Agenda for March 8-9, 2007 Working Conference

The overall purpose of this conference is to structure the Texas A&M implementation of the LSU Ag Center CMS sufficiently to allow for preliminary population of content. Specific tasks include:

  • Create style sheets or templates for
    • Texas A&M Agriculture
    • Texas Cooperative Extension
    • Texas Agricultural Experiment Station
    • College of Agriculture and Life Sciences
    • Standard COALS Departments
    • Standard Agricultural Research & Extension Centers
    • Standard County Extension Offices
    • Standard Institutes or Centers
  • Create root level content channels
  • Create audience metatags
  • Create office listing capability
  • Create "You Can" capability
  • Establish system administrator (superuser) access and learn how to manage the system.
  • Determine other unique requirements which are not currently available
  • Explore personnel database options
  • Determine if/how to establish "hooks" to our TCE Bookstore
  • Attain complete understanding of channel governance structures, both technical and political
  • Develop understanding of the technical differences between content that is populated into channels and subchannels, and that which is provided for unit level content
  • Explore intranet options
